How do I delete the QuickBooks Software from the Mac?

You will first have to uninstall the software from the Desktop

You must close the QuickBooks application before starting the process

  • Move to the Finder menu from the desktop
  • Click on the option to Go
  • Choose the Applications tab and drag the QuickBooks Icon
  • Take the icon to the trash and drop it there

Remove the User PLIST files to change the settings to the default

Click Go from the Finder menu. Press the Option tab and move to the Library. Click to access the folder named Preferences. Find out the PLIST files from this folder. Select all the files from and press right-click. Choose the option “Move to Trash.”

Remove the System PLIST files 

You will have to access the Macintosh HP option from the desktop. Go to the Libraries after this and open the Preferences. You will then have to find out the PLIST files from there and Select the Trash option. We recommend you to delete all files with the name “com.intuit.QuickBooks20XX.”
